Brixton Energy Solar & Repowering London invites you with pleasure to an afternoon celebrating the past, present and future of community energy on Loughborough Estate.
On the 22nd of October, Lambeth Community Solar welcomed it’s supporters to celebrate the project. Around 50 people came at the Lambeth Town Hall. There were lots of passionate speakers followed by everyone enjoying wine, refreshments and sandwiches.
On the 26th October 2019, Ali, repowering technical officer, presented a solar panel making workshop at Finsbury park Mosque!
Fleur Disney, in her echohustler article, mention Repowering co-op projects as a community solution to tackle the climate emergency. She explains very well how much it is so important to be part of a community project to try to balance government failure and drive a real change.
On the Friday 18th October 2019 North Kensington Community Energy (NKCE) won the 2019 Community Renewable Energy Project Award.
Lambeth Community Solar had the chance to meet four young climate activists from the Norwood school who have created their own group, Students 4 Sustainable Futures.
Community Energy London is putting on a Community Energy Fortnight event at City Hall on the 28th of June from 6 PM to 8 PM.
